Between Foot and Earth
Walking as an Embodied Experience
Walking is so ordinary that we often take it for granted. But what do you truly notice when you walk? Try to think beyond just moving from point A to point B. Imagine walking as a secret dialogue — a sensory exchange between your feet, ears, nose, and skin with the world around you.
The vibrations of your footsteps, the shifting light through trees, the subtle scent of a city waking up. The echoes of footsteps were telling stories, the feel on your foot of the surface spoke tales, and the whispers in the air talking to each other. Walking connects individuals to their environment, whether nature, urban space, culture, or identity.
As always, the anthropologist in me asks: How does walking, this simple yet profound act, shape our relationship with the world?

Everyday Steps
Every morning, without fail, I walk Hunter, my dog. What began as a necessary routine for his needs has evolved into something far more meaningful.
